Rosie Huntington-Whiteley Bullied Before Becoming A Model
As is often the case with future models, their ethereal and unusual beauty is not appreciated by school peers before they’re discovered. Regardless of whether this is down to jealously or an inability to spot modelling potential, the tables have most certainly turned for those models who endured bullying at a younger age.
Following Lindsey Wixson recently admitting that she was bullied at middle school, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has now revealed that she also was bullied at school for what is ironically now one of her most famous assets – her lips.
“I was the shortest kid in my year. I was teased because I had no breasts and huge lips. And because of my double-barrelled name, people thought I was super p-o-s-h, which is actually not the case,” she told GQ in its July issue.
“I was really teased about the way I looked at school,” Whiteley said. “I think most models will tell you a similar story.”
Thankfully, this now uber-successful model’s confidence wasn’t knocked too much, as she has gone on to build up an extremely impressive modelling portfolio – not to mention the new venture into acting. Whiteley was chosen as the new leading lady of Transformers: Dark of the Moon, which we can’t wait to see!
