Over the last few weeks Talent Management have offered tips and techniques to help you to re-create expensive spa treatments at home. This week we are focusing on body scrubs.
Body scrubs are great for your skin. They help to improve circulation, smooth the skin and give it a healthy glow. Regular use can also help you to combat the appearance of cellulite, so why not try our homemade body scrub recipes and tips as an inexpensive and natural way to maintain your model looks?
A note about essential oil use:
All of these scrubs can be made without including the essential oils. If you decide to include essential oils in your body scrub please test the diluted oil on the inside of your wrist, 48 hrs prior to use. Never use essential oils; near the eyes or mucous membranes, internally, on children, while you are pregnant or breast feeding or on anyone who has not been checked for sensitivity. Avoid exposing your skin to sunlight for 24 hrs after essential oil use.

Method:
When you have made your body scrub Talent Management recommends that you follow these directions to get the most from it:
Scrubs are most effective on softened skin, so jump in the bath and relax for 10-15 minutes before applying.
Exfoliate your skin with a generous amount of your chosen body scrub from the feet upwards. Apply in circular motions and avoiding sensitive areas and the face. You will need to stand for most of this process so take care not to slip. Work towards the heart and pay particular attention to the buttocks, upper legs and upper arms.
When you have exfoliated your entire body, rinse off the body scrub, preferably under a shower.
Follow immediately with your favourite body moisturiser and lock in the moisture by applying body oil for optimum results.
