It seems that this year’s Britain’s Got Talent singing sensation Jonathan Antoine is not the only one in the Antoine family with a desire to make it into the public eye. Models Direct has just heard that his older sister Charlotte has determined ambitions to become a model.

Jonathan surprised everyone with his amazing voice at the Britain’s Got Talent audition, which he attended with singing partner Charlotte Jaconelli. It was another SuBo moment as Simon was forced to eat the words he’d uttered as the pair walked onto the stage: “Just when you thought things couldn’t get any worse.”

Following their performance he declared: “Okay, this is what I think. Charlotte, I think you’re good but Jonathan you are unbelievable. I mean seriously you have an outstandingly good voice. I mean that’s unbelievable, Jonathan you are a future star.” The talented but shy 17-year-old has since been dubbed ‘the new Pavarotti’ and it’s clear that his decision to audition for Britain’s Got Talent has been a life altering for him. Now it has come to light that his sister has aspirations to become a model.

Charlotte Antoine is 23-years-old, 5ft 3ins tall and has curly dark brown hair and brown eyes. She is around 5 inches shorter than the average catwalk model but she isn’t letting that put her off, and why should she? Kate Moss has achieved fame as a supermodel at 5ft 7ins. Sometimes there is just something special about someone that secures them modelling work – so we applaud Charlotte’s attitude.

These days, opportunities to model are increasingly opening up for shapes, sizes and looks that would not have been considered ‘model material’ a few years ago – and as an inclusive agency we are continually delighted to see the ways in which the modelling industry is changing. For example, we have recently seen size 16 model Lucy Moore become the new face for lingerie brand Ann summers, and 34-year-old model Guinevere Van Seenus replace 14-year-old Hailee Steinfeld for MIU MIU. We’ve also covered stories of many ‘real’ models who have found success and we will not be at all surprised if Charlotte Antoine becomes another such story.
