Presenters Gabby Logan & Clare Balding Model For Good Housekeeping Mag Front Cover
Talent and modelling agency Talent Management has just seen this Good Housekeeping magazine cover, featuring Gabby Logan and Clare Balding, and we’re loving Clare’s glam new look! We’re not used to seeing this 41-year-old sports presenter in a figure hugging dress but she looks great in the bold blue she was styled in for the shoot.
Following criticism of the BBC’s Jubilee coverage, sports presenter Clare was the first to speak out. She is quoted in the Daily Mail as defending she and fellow presenters’ reports, while admitting that there were short-comings: “I think (the BBC’s) aim with the pageant was to give a festival atmosphere. They were worried that a camera just looking at a boat might be a bit dull. It was done with the best of intentions. There was a lot going on that was difficult to deal with.” But all is forgiven as she proves that you don’t have to be a top model to brighten up a magazine’s front cover.
Clare and Gabby will host Olympic coverage for the BBC later in the year and both are hoping that the Games will help to promote a healthy attitude to body-shape. Gabby told the Mail: “Sport is incredibly important because it empowers women. Any girl under 17 watching the Games will get much more of a positive outlook on body shape. It shows what a healthy woman’s body looks like, and it’s not a size zero.”
Gabby mirrored this attitude, adding: “To see you can keep your femininity and be strong as a woman doing sport is really positive.”
We couldn’t agree more with these two ladies. A healthy attitude and lifestyle is something that we always promote to our models and we’re delighted to see Gabby and Clare providing positive role models for women and spreading the ‘health-first’ word.
