Wallis Collaborates With Print Designer Lollie Dunbar
The print fanatics here at Talent Management have just heard that Wallis is partnering up with aspiring print designer Lollie Dunbar, and from what we’ve seen so far, the collaboration looks stunning.
Dunbar, who graduated with a BA Hons in Printed Textile Design in 2011, was spotted by the luxe brand after she won a scarf design print competition with the World Land Trust and Liberty London.
Wallis loved her handwriting and asked the young grad to design a bespoke print for a six-piece capsule collection comprising scarves, maxi dresses, a palazzo trouser and, our favourite, this ultra-cute cropped kimono pictured above.
“I wanted to create something that was suitable for the Wallis customer, for spring/summer 2012, but also something that would be a reflection of me as a designer,” said the young talent.
“My main inspiration for the designs were prints seen on contemporary homewear designs and I felt these would translate beautifully into a scarf collection and the other designs flowed from there.”
The collection launches in selected stores and online at wallis.co.uk from May 2012, and Talent Management will be first in line.
