Having recently been voted ‘Best Entertainment Presenters’ at the National TV Awards for the tenth year running, British TV favourites, Ant and Dec, revealed to The Sun today that they would love to make a return to acting.

“It’s where we came from after all,” Ant told reporters. “We’ve been getting offered lots of bits and bobs and we’re very interested in them – both TV and films. Some would surprise you because they’ve been on ITV fairly recently.”
The 35 year olds were just 13 when they met on the set of ‘Byker Grove’ and it seems that they very much miss their acting past.

“We are actors and we love doing it”. Declan Donnelly commented, “Finding the time is the only thing that gets in the way as we have so much other stuff on. But we’re looking at stuff and something will happen, I’m sure of that.”

The duo also confirmed that if a part required them to work separately they would still consider it. The public are accustomed to seeing Ant and Dec together but it makes sense that independent roles would be a possibility.
