Models Direct think Pampers have the right attitude when it comes to how we should view the babies of this planet. We loved their “Little Miracle Missions” campaign, where advertising encouraged the acceptance of every baby equally, regardless of where, why or how they entered the world.
Every Baby Is A Little Miracle
Models Direct think Pampers have the right attitude when it comes to how we should view the babies of this planet. We loved their “Little Miracle Missions” campaign, where advertising encouraged the acceptance of every baby equally, regardless of where, why or how they entered the world. The adverts included footage of babies of varying race and ethnicity and reminded us that all of our little miracles are equally special, with or without special needs and whatever their family background.
This type of advertising can be so positive for society and we feel that it should be encouraged by the modelling industry.
Models Direct have always promoted the idea that all children are equal and should be treated as such. We are one of the few modelling agencies that consciously prioritise diversity on our books. Black African baby model Jayden was selected by Pampers for a sleeping shoot and he did a fantastic job. Red haired baby model Elsie enjoyed her photoshoot earlier in the year advertising sunblinds for pushchairs; and mixed race baby model Regan loved the experience of being filmed for a corporate video.
Jobs like these regularly come into the Models Direct office and we are also often asked for mother and baby to appear together. Clients recently made these requests:
“Mother & newborn baby needed to model: Seeking a mother and a baby model for a commercial for a well known toothpaste. Models will be needed for TV and possible print campaign. Suggestions needed ASAP for a newborn baby around 7 days old and mum. Especially want to find any black ladies who have just given birth but other ethnicities will be considered.
“Chinese mums with babies needed: Chinese mums with babies aged 4 – 18 months, needed for a viral that will show babies as they fall asleep for their mid morning or afternoon nap.”
Models Direct believe that advertising which highlights our differences, a growing trend in today’s market, should be celebrated. Campaigns like Pampers’ Little Miracles are representative of a change in how marketing is approached in the 21st century and Models Direct feel that this change is long overdue.
