Models Direct: Cara Delevingne Photographed With White Powder On Her Doorstep
Models Direct bloggers were shocked and disappointed to see pictures of Cara Delevingne apparently caught red-handed with drugs yesterday.
As she left her home in London the model of the moment was seen dropping a small clear plastic bag that appeared to contain a cocaine-like substance and, unfortunately for her, photographers captured the entire scene as it fell to the floor. The pictures clearly show white crystals or powder in the bag, and call us cynics but we doubt it was sugar.
At just 20 years old it seems that super-skinny Delevingne is already taking after her idol Kate Moss – risking her health in the name of staying slim and a rock and roll lifestyle. The message this sends out to others, especially the young is dreadful – normalising, or even glamourising the use of a potentially fatal drugs.
Previously described as the ‘human dynamo’ we wonder – is Delevingne taking drugs in order to stay ‘Paris thin’, a term recently coined by former Vogue editor Kristie Clements? We can’t help thinking that this kind of habit could be contributing to Delevingne’s tiny frame – one that is completely unobtainable for most women of her age.
Whether it is recreational or the result of pressures from the industry, we do hope that Delevingne will reconsider her lifestyle in the light of repercussions that are bound to follow this incident. H&M are said to be investigating further due to their strictly no drugs policy and may well drop her as the face of their brand in the coming weeks.
Meanwhile Sun Reporter Katie Earlam has given the following suggestions as to what else the powder could have been:
“1) Artificial sweetener for her cuppa so she doesn’t pile on weight
2) Little bit of Persil in for washing her undies in an emergency
3) Talcum powder to help squeeze into extra-tight fashion gear
4) Self-raising flour in case she fancies a tiny bit of baking
5) Leftover remnants of her secret sherbert Dib-Dab habit”
What do you think?
