Agents in the Models Direct offices have been absolutely enchanted by the results of this amazing and unique photo-shoot, where brave models Hannah Fraser and Roberta Mancino were recently photographed swimming with 30-foot-long sharks!

These incredible images are screenshots taken from a video of the shoot, published in yesterday’s Telegraph, as part of an initiative to raise awareness about the poaching of whale sharks. Watch the entire video below.

In case you’re wondering these sharks are not man-eaters but that doesn’t mean that this job was without risk. Photographer Kristian Schmidt only went ahead with the unusual assignment in the Philippines after 4 months of planning. We could not believe how tame the sharks appeared to be when we first watched the video, but the Telegraph article explains:

“Local fishermen often feed the whale sharks in shallow waters with handfuls of shrimp, meaning that they were able to attract the fish to the photographers’ location.”
