Karlie Kloss Signs With Different Model Agency
Last week, leading US model agency IMG Models announced top fashion model Karlie Kloss as the newest addition to their distinguished portfolio of international talent.
Ranked second on the Top 50 Models Women’s list by Models.com and declared one of the top 30 models of the 2000s by Vogue Paris, Kloss says she’s signed with the New York-based agency to expand her global network for fashion and non-fashion related opportunities.
“IMG Models is the perfect fit for me as I continue to expand my career in the fashion realm and beyond,” said the young model. “I am lucky to have had so many wonderful people as part of my team who helped me establish myself in this industry and I look forward to taking the next step in my career.”
The top model, who has just turned 20 but began her modelling career at a young age when she was discovered at a charity fashion show, has worked for everyone from Zac Posen and Marc Jacobs to Karl Lagerfeld and Donna Karan – and all before she was out of her teens.
The team at Talent Management credits her classical ballet training for her elegance and presence on the catwalk, as well as her powerful show walk, which is why we’re big fans of signing models who have additional talents such as dance.
“Karlie has an immense and loyal following, and we are thrilled with the opportunity to help expand her relationships through endorsements as well as our global network that reaches beyond fashion,” said Ivan Bart, Senior Vice President and Managing Director of IMG Models.
“We are proud to welcome such a prestigious model. Karlie epitomizes the qualities that IMG values in their clients,”added Anne Nelson, Senior Manager of IMG Models. “Not only is she an inspiration to the fashion world but to us as managers.”
Having already appeared on the covers of i-D, Italian Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar Australia, and Newsweek, as well as graced the pages of top fashion magazines including American Vogue, W, Numéro, Muse and Interview, we’re sure this new move can only see more modelling jobs like this lined up for the young beauty.
Let’s wait and see if we’re right!
