Simeon Farrar Designs Very Cool Umbrella Collection For Fulton
For all our models in need of a pick me up in a pretty dismal British summer, Talent Management has found a very cool new range of umbrellas that the team at the model agency are loving!
Following a partnership at 2011’s September London Fashion Week, British artist and print designer Simeon Farrar and British rainwear specialist Fulton have joined forces once again create an exciting four piece umbrella collection.
The umbrellas take inspiration from Farrar’s signature printing style, which is created through printing, washing and reprinting, resulting in a unique layered effect before the ink dries.
With all four designs embracing Farrar’s ‘Great British Summertime in all its pathetic glory’ theme, our favourite from the range has to be one of the ‘compact’ umbrellas featuring multi-coloured ghosts on a black background.
As well as one ‘walking style’ umbrella featuring cats and dogs ‘raining’ down the fabric in faded white and pale pink, there are also two other compacts in the range, one featuring vivid raindrops in primary colours and the other displaying vibrant neon pink and tonal grey layered clouds.
Farrar said of the collaboration: “Fulton demonstrate the best in British heritage and quality, combined with modern creative influences; which is why they are a natural fit for this project. Having their long-standing industry knowledge applied to my concept is an honour.”
Nigel Fulton added: “Simeon’s bespoke designs beautifully highlight the creative versatility of our umbrellas, and effectively showcase Fulton’s ever-expanding fashion credentials. We are delighted to have collaborated with such an inspiring designer.”
The Simeon Farrar for Fulton collection is now available across the high street, including John Lewis, Liberty and online.
