Talent Competition Launched By Clothes Show Live
Talent Management has just found out that the Clothes Show Live have launched a search for a new design talent with Graduate ASOS Marketplace.
The talent competition is looking for 10 graduate designers to sell their collections in the Graduate ASOS Marketplace for five days in December at this years’ fashion event.
Clothes Show Live, at the heart of British Fashion, is dedicated to nurturing and supporting the future of British fashion. This year the show’s team is hoping to uncover talented young designers looking for a launch pad to kick start their labels.
As well as selling their collections in the Graduate ASOS Marketplace, situated in the Vision Village area of the show, successful labels will be given the opportunity to sell their collections online in their own boutique through the ASOS Marketplace from January 2013.
Maryam Hamizadeh, Show Producer for Clothes Show Live, said: “We are really excited about launching the Graduate ASOS Marketplace this year. It’s such an amazing chance for any young designers looking for a way to raise their profile. To not only be able to showcase and sell their collection at Clothes Show Live, but to also be able to go on and sell online through ASOS is a money can’t buy opportunity. I can’t wait to see who the final 10 designers will be.”
Katie Oldham, ASOS Marketplace Senior manager, added: “ASOS Marketplace is delighted to be working with the Clothes Show to find recent graduates and provide them the platform to sell their collection at the Clothes Show and on ASOS Marketplace. This is an incredible opportunity and is firmly in the ASOS Marketplace ethos of supporting new fashion businesses”
This year’s five-day event will feature catwalk shows and shopping from internationally acclaimed brands and high street labels, as well as showcasing work by up and coming, independent designers. Combining the glamour and excitement of the catwalk shows at London Fashion Week with the drama of a West End production, the famous Suzuki Fashion Theatre will feature top British model Daisy Lowe as part of its 45 minute spectacular show, featuring 40 models and dancers on stage.
Applications are open to any emerging graduate designers who completed their course between May 2009 and September 2010.
To enter designers simply need to fill in an entry form and include 5 images of the collection they would like to sell at the event. They also need to be able to man their stand for the full 5 days at Clothes Show Live from December 7th – 11th. Deadline for entries is Monday 1st October 2012.
