Ok, so it might not feel quite like spring just yet, but our male models at Talent Management are getting prepared for the warmer months ahead.

So, what does the new season have in store for all you fashion conscious men out there?

Leading highstreet retailer H&M says that the “function and form of utility clothing” and the “global trend for personal style” are huge fashion influences this spring.

STYLING MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE

Andreas Löwenstam, a menswear designer at H&M, says: “Styling makes all the difference this spring.”

So, like our most stylish male models here at Talent Management, take note; this season is all about wearing new versions of contemporary classics, as well as all the great basics already in your wardrobe, but styling them in a completely different and new way.

“The blazer looks new worn with cargo shorts, and a hooded jacket is dressed up with a shirt and tailored trousers. The combination of black and khaki green is super elegant,” Löwenstam adds.

KHAKIS ARE A MUST

Not only is khaki popular as a colour, but also as an essential wardrobe piece. “Khakis are a must,” say H&M, “and essential pieces look better than ever, be it a blazer, a uniform jacket, a striped jersey or a crisp shirt, to be matched with tailored trousers, chinos, white jeans or shorts.”

So, to round up this season’s trends, must-have pieces, colour palette choices and accessories, H&M tell us to expect loose silhouettes and uniform-inspired styles; a neutral colour palette including navy, grey, white, black, and khaki green in particular; and lots of blazers, shorts, desert boots, leather belts and briefcases.
