18-year-old male model Mitchell was chosen by MTV Staying Alive Foundation for their ‘Someone Like Me’ global awareness campaign recently to create awareness for HIV and try and encourage young people to start practicing safe sex.
The charitable campaign was shot in London and required female and male models that could speak speak native Russian, French, Spanish or Portuguese. Mitchell speaks Portuguese and was hired along with eleven other Talent Management models for the video shoot.
Mitchell told us afterwards how he managed to open up on the shoot and how he felt about his first modelling assignment with Talent Management:
“I really loved this modelling and acting experience. I was a bit nervous at the start but the environment created by the staff was really comforting.
“The assignment was quite intimate and I had to talk about sex, so it was quite a personal matter but I felt happy to share it. I learnt quite a few skills on the acting side especially.
“I have already told my friends about my Talent Management assignment and hope they get to experience it one day because it really brings out the most in you. I hope I continue with these types of jobs as I really like working within this environment.”
We think Mitchell handled the job brilliantly on this rather personal assignment – would you be comfortable talking about your sex life to strangers?
