Models Direct has not been surprised to hear about Ireland Baldwin’s new career as a teen model

The 17-year-old has inherited great looks from both parents and recently told People.com that she was inspired by her beautiful mother Kim Basinger:

“My mom’s very happy she can finally give me tips. She’s always there, so she’ll stand in the back and say, ‘Turn your head this way, or do this.’”

She also revealed that she is inspired by models like Kate Moss and Miranda Kerr. At 6’2” her hieght certainly won’t hold her back and she has already been signed by two agencies. She announced the news via Twitter, excitedly tweeting: “Officially working for @TwoManagement and @IMGmodels! I’m blessed, happy, and ready to WEEEEERK.”

Ireland has previously come under the spotlight due to public fall-outs with father Alec Baldwin. She said of their relationship: “You know, he has his own agenda and I have my own. I think he’s very outspoken and he has his opinions, and he’s him and I’m me, and I know he’s done things that he regrets himself and that he’s sorry for, but you know, the past is the past,” adding that these days they “text and talk on the phone all the time.”

We expect she’ll be a natural in front of the camera. “I’m getting into it. Doing it right. I want to know where it’s going to take me,” she is quoted as saying in the Daily Mail, “Rather than getting involved with different projects and films that I’m not ready for and starting off on the wrong foot, I want to work my way up.”
