Talent Management Modelling Tips
Talent Management agency is often asked how to achieve successful model castings or assignments so we thought it may be helpful to put together a top five of our best Talent Management modelling tips to help nervous or first-time models to do just that.
Here are our top five tips to help you to prepare for and make the most of any modelling opportunities that come your way.
Relax
Relaxing as much as possible is definitely number one on our list when approaching modelling or entertainment assignments of any kind – but we know that this can be easier said than done. Our advice is to try simple breathing techniques prior to the shoot, just a few minutes before arrival. Try inhaling to a count of four then exhaling to a count of six. Repeat this for around three minutes when you feel nerves creeping up on you. We promise it will help!
Have fun
Again, it’s so important to remember why you’re there when out on assignments but it can be easy to lose sight of how enjoyable modelling can be. Try to recall why you decided to become a model. It was probably because you felt that it was the kind of work that you would really enjoy. Refuse to get bogged down with nerves. This is your moment. It’s time to take a deep breath and have some fun!
Maintain good posture
Good posture really makes a difference to your appearance, not only in still images but on a day to day basis. It encourages a look of confidence and slims and lengthens your silhouette. Talent Management agency recommends that you improve yours by taking up ballet or yoga, the benefits will be apparent almost immediately.
Practice
Don’t be afraid to practice your poses, it really can help you to feel more confident. Take a look in some of your favourite magazines for posing ideas and spend an hour or two trying them out in front of the mirror to see what works best for you.
Rest
Be sure to get enough rest prior to your modelling assignment, it will leave you looking and feeling refreshed on the day, making the whole experience far more enjoyable. Eight to ten hours should be plenty. Avoid going too far the other way and sleeping for way too long as too much sleep can make you feel just as bad as too little.
Good luck and enjoy!
