Models Direct Reviews Romeo Beckham’s Modelling Debut
Romeo Beckham’s debut as a child model has come as no surprise to Models Direct reviews bloggers this week. Last year he was described as “The celebrity of the future” by Selfridges Menswear director David Walker-Smith, who praised him for his unique style. This winter we have to admit that he’s a natural in front of the camera. Take a look below!
Images of the cute 10-year-old modelling in Burberry‘s spring/summer 2013 campaign video hit the press yesterday, and while you can see unmistakeable influences and features from both David and Victoria, Romeo looks every bit a model in his own right. Wearing a tailored suit, brogues and a classic trench he appears to be completely at ease in the British label promo. Burberry’s Chief Creative Officer, Christopher Bailey seemed understandably delighted:
“This season’s campaign lights up with the infectious energy of an amazing young cast of old and new Burberry family,” he is quoted as commenting.
“We had such fun shooting the campaign and I think that comes through in the images, which really reflect the upbeat spirit of the collection”.
Other models featuring in the campaign include Cara Delevingne and Edie Campbell, and while they look incredible, Romeo has unsurprisingly stolen more hearts than either of them here in the Models Direct offices.
Whispers about where this may lead for Romeo have already begun, and Beiber fans may soon be heard to declare “Justin who?” as the young star increases in popularity. We certainly expect to be seeing more of him in future!
