Victoria’s Secret Model Candice Swanepoel Posts Disturbing Picture Of Her Skinny Concave Stomach
In the lead up to the Victoria’s Secret 2012 Fashion show last week, 24-year-old Victoria’s Secret Angel Candice Swanepoel uploaded this shocking picture of her concave midrift to her Instagram account.
Following controversy from the Victoria’s Secret swimwear launch last year, which saw the model looking almost emaciated next to much curvier models Adriana Lima and Alessandra Ambrosio, with stick insect legs and a concaved stomach, it looks like Candice is once again drawing attention for being too skinny.
The picture, which show’s the model’s protruding hip bones and ultra toned abdominal muscles in workout gear, was accompanied by the caption: “Two days left till the #VSfashionshow rrraaauuwwwr!” suggesting that she has been working hard exercising and fasting for a look she’s seemingly proud of.
Other Victoria’s Secret models, including Miranda Kerr, Adriana Lima and Lily Aldridge, were also been vocal about their efforts to get in shape for the show, which will air on December 4, but this disturbing shot begs the question – did she take it too far?
Online commenters have mixed views. One reader on the Daily Mail said: “All the chubbers have their claws out…..yes she can see her hip bones and her feet….instead of slating her, have a think when the last time you could even begin to outline where your hips should be and when you last saw your toes. Don’t get a bee in your bonnet because you’re too lazy to walk off all those take aways and cake.”
The majority of people, however, insisted she was too skinny and the look was disturbing.
“Could you class it as ironic that these woman become this skinny in the name of beauty when in fact it’s disgusting?? To me being that skinny is just as bad as being obese!” another commenter said.
