Now that the campaign is officially out, what better way to celebrate than a private performance by the retailer’s fall model herself?
Lana Del Rey Performs Exclusively In New York To Launch H&M’s Fall Campaign
If you’re an avid reader of the Talent Management Blog, you’ll know by now that we’re big fans of the stunning bee-stung beauty that is singer-turned-model Lana del Ray.
A while back, we were excited to reveal that she was booked to model and sing in H&M’s Fall Fashion collection for autumn 2012.
Launched just a couple of days ago, we’ve already praised the print campaign shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, which sees Lana model pieces including a pink angora blend sweater, printed leggings, a tweed biker jacket, and a figure hugging leather trimmed dress, among others.
We’ve also commended the Johan Renck shot commercial, which sees an edited version of a fully-plotted music video featuring Lana singing a sultry rendition of “Blue Velvet”.
And, now that the campaign is officially out, what better way to celebrate than a private performance by the retailer’s fall model herself?
At The Wooly in New York, the downtown lounge within Manhattan’s iconic Woolworth Building, Lana performed for around 300 guests.
Perfectly in keeping with Lana’s personal style, the venue incorporated vintage wallpaper, classic brass chandeliers and antique lamps with the addition of velvet drapery to provide an alluring mystique for her performance.
While we couldn’t be there, we’re told that the evening peaked when Lana debuted the “Blue Velvet” cover in association with the music video, which is now available to see in its entirety on hm.com.
