This morning, Talent Management received some very cheeky shots of our 32-year-old male model Matt posing as a coal miner.
The images came about when Trolex Limited contacted the model bookers here at the agency looking for a fit, buff-looking male model with defined abs for a sexy ‘we want you’ type poster.
Matt’s job was to help recruit genuine coal miners for a charity calendar for Miners Rock; a Trolex sponsored initiative supporting The National Coal Mining Museum for England.
The shoot, which was in Stockport, Cheshire, saw our model get styled with coal miner clothing and props, while a professional make up artist made Matt look like he’d been working down the pits for hours!
The final poster image (seen above) will hopefully lure people in the mining and equipment industry to join our model and also ‘get their coals off for charity’!
Those that do will see themselves tastefully but cheekily captured in the Miners Rock 2013 Calendar in interesting locations at the Museum site. Miners Rock will also record stories from the people who star in the calendar about their experiences of working in the industry.
With £4 of the £5.99 sales price from each calendar sold going to the charity in support of preserving the heritage of the mining industry, it seems Matt not only had a great time modelling, but also got involved in a good cause.
Shortly after the shoot, which he earned an impressive model fee of £210 plus £40 for travel, Matt told us how he found the experience: “I loved my assignment with Talent Management. It was a fantastic opportunity that was done in a professional and fun environment. Everyone involved in the photo shoot was a pleasure to work with. I would definitely recommend the company to anyone thinking of becoming a model. I got to dress up as a topless miner covered in coal dust to promote a calendar. It was great to be part of this shoot as it is something that I have not done before. The agency has been great and is a must for people in our industry.”
If you’re in the mining industry and want to get involved, head over to www.minersrock.com and write a few lines about your role in the mining industry and a story that can be humorous, poignant or about mining heritage. If selected you will be interviewed on video talking about it. And for the meantime, check out some more images from Matt’s shoot below…
