Models Direct have heard lots of rumours about a budding relationship between super-star Katy Perry and the world’s highest paid male model – Baptiste Giabiconi – this month. The pair have been pictured together at various events, and as far back as last year Giabiconi reportedly stated his intention to win over the princess of pop. So, we aren’t too surprised to see this union confirmed.

Giabiconi went public about their relationship via Twitter over the weekend in the form of a cosy picture of the pair, and the words: “@katyperry hey my #littlekats u look so amazing in this pic! :) ❤”

Katy Perry’s former husband – 36-year-old Russell Brand – filed for divorce 3 months ago and has since been spotted with his own model partner – Nikolett Barabas. She recently gushed about him in an interview with Life & Style, saying enthusiastically: “He’s amazing, so funny; he’s beautiful, I like being with him; he’s amazing, so amazing. He’s a good person.”

Indeed, despite a reasonably chequered past, models and booking agents here at Models Direct admit that Brand does come across as a likeable guy. Alongside his infectious smile and quick wit, the actor/comedian also appears to have remained a gentleman over his spilt with 27-year-old Perry. Their divorce is said to have been ‘one of the most amicable in Hollywood history’ – with Brand refusing to accept the $20 million he was reportedly entitled to and saying of the divorce: “Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage. I’ll always adore her and I know we’ll remain friends.”

Meanwhile 22-year-old Giabiconi is said to be smitten with his new girlfriend. Princess Kasia Al-Thani – a friend of the famous French male model – said: “Baptiste is an incredible model, musician, and humanitarian. He is a great guy and he’s totally smitten, and Katy is the perfect girl for him.” His modelling credentials include being the face of Fendi, Chanel and Karl Lagerfeld – who has described him as: “a boy version of Gisele Bundchen: skinny but with an athletic body – good for clothes and great with no clothes.”

Well, we’re sure he’s helping to ease the pain of Perry’s divorce. A representative for the singer said that the couple are: “feeling it out… spending a lot of time together.”
