Kate Upton Models Disturbingly Tiny Bikini On Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue
Talent Management has just checked out the new Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue featuring teen model Kate Upton on the cover.
So just how did such a young model bag such an iconic cover? Well, according to the New York Times she owes her modelling success to a dance called the ‘Dougie’.
When Upton uploaded a video of herself doing the shimmy hip-hop dance, calls from modelling agents flooded in.
“We all know that social media now creates its own reality,” Wayne Sterling, the publisher of Models.com, told the New York Times. “If you become a YouTube star among teenagers, you have even more recognisability than a TV star. Kate Upton is the perfect example of that.”
Even though the young model’s looks are a million miles from fashion’s skinny model ideal, it seems Upton has still caught the eye of many industry insiders – Talent Management included.
However, while we have to admit the all-American, voluptuous teen makes an uplifting change from previous much slimmer Sports Illustrated cover models, such as Bar Rafaeli and Petra Nemcova, we can’t help but criticise her barely there bikini.
The team at Talent Management wants to know your thoughts – is it just us or does the lowness of her bikini bottoms make you feel that little bit uncomfortable too?
Nevertheless, tiny bikini or not, we’re always delighted to see curvy models prosper!
