We’ve just found out that Blue Ivy Carter’s auntie, Solange Knowles, has just been signed by a modelling agency.

The singer /DJ, who Vogue has dubbed the “Next Big Thing”, follows in the footsteps of a number of musicians turned models, including Lana del Rey, who has also just been signed by the agency, ex-alternative rock band member Rob Pryor who modelled for Burberry and Joe Jonas of the Jonas Brothers who modelled for Mr Porter.

With her sister’s good looks, and a host of modelling jobs already under her belt, the news isn’t surprising to the team at Models Direct – the Rimmel spokesperson has modelled for Armani Jeans and she and her sister Beyoncé both model for their family’s fashion line House of Dereon, appearing in most of its marketing campaigns.

Solange has joined the likes of actress Clara Paget, TV presenter Alexa Chung, and singer Ellie Goulding in the ‘talent’ part of the modelling agency, where those double and triple threats like to group and extend their already impressive career into modelling!
