Aside from her hugely successful modelling career, the now 43 year old Carré Otis is well known for her struggles with a particularly brutal eating disorder.

The American model, who the team here at Talent Management find hugely inspirational, recently starred as a guest on Anderson Cooper’s daytime show in which she discusses overcoming that dark time in her life.

Watch the clip, shown above, as Otis reveals how she suffered from “horrific anorexia for many years” and that reframing her understanding of beauty was instrumental in her recovery from the eating disorder.

Also in the clip, Cooper reads a line from her new book, a memoir called ‘Beauty, Disrupted’, that both Cooper and Talent Management think should be memorised by every young woman, model or not…
