Chart topping X Factor winners Little Mix have appeared on this week’s Christmas Grazia magazine wearing tartan dresses by Alexander McQueen – which you may have previously seen on actress/model Emma Watson and singer/songwriter Rhianna.

The girls are a refreshing change from the kind of models and celebrities that we have come to expect to see wearing McQueen couture in a high fashion shoot, not only in their ‘girl next door’ looks but also in attitude. Band member Jade told Grazia:

“To think we’re wearing outfits by the same designer that Kate Middleton wore on her wedding day is just absolutely unbelievable. It makes us feel really special now as well.”

Despite their rock chick styling Perrie was also careful to let fans know that the girlband do not intend to embrace every aspect of the associated lifestyle: “Me and Jesy don’t drink alcohol. None of us have ever smoked a cigarette. There are no boys for us, we’re going to be like nuns. Boys are off the menu, yes! We’re just focusing on this.”

Models Direct also noted Little Mix’s self-given ‘Spice Girl’ style nicknames as Perrie added: “The thing that’s good is that we are all different, so every girl can relate to one or other of us. I’m like Boho with an Urban Edge Mix, Jesy’s Swagger Mix, Jade is Cutie Mix and Leigh-Anne’s Streetie, Fiery Mix.”

The guys and girls at our modelling agency aren’t sure that these nicknames will stick but for now ‘Boho’, ‘Swagger’, ‘Cutie’ and ‘Fiery’ seem to be successfully stealing the hearts of the nation. We wish them the best of luck and hope fame doesn’t change them too much.
