Last, but not least, Talent management checks out Dirty Sexy Things’ model Jessye B Romeo, having already profiled Rob, Ocean, Charlotte, BB, Jay, Jesse and Ariella.

With a model for a mother and a DJ, music producer and Soul II Soul member as a father (that’s Jazzie B in case you’ve not figured it out), Londoner Jessye B grew up in the midst of the fashion and entertainment industry.

Growing up with a ‘stuffy’ private education, Jessye B shunned a path to university in favour of a career in modelling. Since then, she has already bagged campaigns for Regan Cameron, Puma and Kelly Hoppen, and has even starred in a Rankin exhibition – and all in the space of a year!

“My mum used to be a model so I’ve always had it in my head but I was always good in school. Mum was hesitant for me to get into it but I’ve grown up in the in the industry so for me it’s normal. I couldn’t do an office job.”

Having been in the National Youth Theatre and with a part in the upcoming film the Somnambulists, Jessye B also has an interest in acting, and says if she wasn’t modelling she would be studying drama at university.

But back to the modelling – what has Jessye B’s favourite modelling job been so far? “Working with Rankin in his new exhibition is definitely a career highlight. I’ve always wanted to work with him. I think he’s a genius.”

And her proudest achievement to date? “I went to a high achieving private school so my proudest achievement was my decision not to succumb to their vision of success by going to university. It was terrifying doing something different to everyone else but it was the right thing for me.”
