We’ve just found out that two of our male models at Models Direct have become finalists in this year’s Mr Supernational modelling competition.

Western-super-Mare boy Jake Smith, 28, who has worked as a photographic and promotional model on a number of occasions for Models Direct, and Northerner Luke Ekubia, 25, who bagged a photoshoot job for an NHS campaign through our agency, have both made it thorough to the finals.

Co-hosted by model Chloe Valentine and presenter Rob Lamarr, the Grand Final show is taking place this Saturday at the Coal Exchange in Cardiff. And with three competition rounds on the catwalk, which will see the models dressed in their own casual style, in swimwear or shorts and finally in evening wear, it looks as though Jake and Luke’s modelling experiences will come in handy for that competitive edge!

“Mister Supernational is a very exciting event,” says Lamarr, “it’s good to see the men getting a chance to do this type of pageant, I’m looking forward to what is already shaping up to be an unforgettable night in a competition that I’m sure everybody taking part, and watching, will remember for a long, long time”
