Because we’re good to you, we thought we’d treat you to yet another model profile from one of the stars of Dirty Sexy Things’ – this time around, bad boy Jay gets the Talent Management treatment.
Jay Camilleri is the self- proclaimed ‘party monster’ and ‘sometimes-diva’ of the show. But the West Sussex-born mummy’s boy didn’t start modelling until July 2010.
With his edgy, urban style that’s anything but classic, he has successfully modelled for some huge clients, such as Wonderland’s new magazine Rollercoaster. He has also shot a video with photography legend Tim Richmond for the Wonderland site and has shot campaigns for Schuh and Kurt Geiger for GQ and more recently, for Puma.
Oh, and he may have appeared in the editorial pages of one or two of the world’s coolest fashion magazines too – Client Magazine, 125 Magazine, I Love You Magazine, Vice Magazine and GQ, to name a few.
But what has Jay’s favourite shoot been so far? “The diving shoot we did with Perou,” he says. “I love anything to do with the sea, water or swimming. If every shoot could be underwater I’d do it. Water can display every aspect of human emotion – crashing waves is anger. I just feel so comfortable by water.”
Similar to BB, Jay says his proudest achievement in life so far has been being accepted by a modelling agency: “Getting signed as a model has to be the best moment and just getting to this point in my life too.”
Jay, who is also fairly short for an average male model, is the perfect example of an unconventional look doing well in an industry that is becoming increasingly diverse every day, and we can’t wait to see more of him!
Dirty Sexy Things airs on Mondays at 10pm on E4, but if you’re like us and can’t wait to hear more from this model, then follow Jay on Twitter @JayCamilleri.
