As Talent Management happily enjoys the cult modelling show Dirty Sexy Things’ each Monday, we thought we’d get to know more about Perou’s current favourite, Charlotte De Carle.
Over the last three years Leicester girl Charlotte has appeared in a Microsoft TV ad and has worked for big shot clients including T-Mobile, Caterpillar, Alice & Astrid, Nicole Farhi, Ralph Lauren, Grazia Magazine Drapers, Range Rover, Superdrug, and, of course, her sister’s lingerie line Nichole De Carle.
But having started off her working career as a gym receptionist, just how did Charlotte get into modelling? “I kicked off my modelling career after my sister Nichole sent a picture of me and my sisters to a London-based modelling agency. I got the call back,” the model says.
Having a designer for a sister certainly seems to have opened up some great modelling opportunities, but which has been her favourite shoot so far? “Spanish Marie Claire,” she says, “because it was a cool one to do. We shot it in a freezing cold warehouse in Germany and I had to wear really floaty dresses, but the photographer was great and the pictures came out amazing. Also, the T-Mobile campaign I did was cool – I got paid a healthy sum of money just to run around with a girl for 10 minutes.”
And her proudest achievement so far? “I was quite proud of my performance in my Microsoft ad. I had to speak in a northern accent and did alright. It was also played in cinemas so all my friends saw it and called me up,” she reveals.
