We’ve just found out that H&M’s autumn 2011 designer collaboration will be with one of the world’s most legendary fashion brands – Versace.
Versace Creative Director Donatella Versace, who has designed the exclusive collection, commented: “I am thrilled to be collaborating with H&M and to have the opportunity of reaching their wide audience. The collection will be quintessential Versace, perfect for H&M and Versace fans everywhere.”
Margareta van den Bosch, creative advisor at H&M, added: “Versace is one of the most important brands of recent times, and their collection for H&M will be glamorous and flamboyant – everything Versace stands for. Donatella Versace is sharing with us iconic designs from the archives. This is such a celebratory collaboration and it is perfect for the party season.”
Most recently, H&M collaborated with Lanvin, which saw some beautifully cut colourful dresses, as well as pieces and accessories full of Parisian glamour. Not only did we love the collection, but we were also a fan of the diversity in the video promoting the collection. Curvier and older models were featured and the film looked better for it.
So, although the models at Talent Management can’t wait to get their hands on affordable Versace, we’re also looking forward to the model choices in any ads that may pop up. And with a collection that we can expect to be full of leather, print, colour and exuberance, we think a diverse range of models would compliment the concept beautifully.
The collection will be available from 17 November, so until then, we’ll be keeping an eye out for any sneak previews!
