Yet again, there seems to be a surge of actors on the modelling scene this season – with Hailee Steinfeld for Miu Miu, Christina Hendricks for Vivienne Westwood, and Helena Bonham Carter for Marc Jacobs – and menswear is no exception.

Prada’s latest menswear model is none other than Spiderman star Tobey Maguire, who is looking rather dapper in the label’s A/W 2011/12 ad campaign.

The first shot revealed sees the 35-year-old father of two modelling a three-button blazer layered over grey and burnt orange knits, channelling a look that a spokesperson for the label described as “a fitting nod to the discrete style of Hollywood fashion icons past”.

Maguire, who is said to be “thrilled” at representing the brand, spoke very highly of the lady at the helm of the Prada empire: “A great supporter of the arts, Miuccia Prada has inspired a culture of creativity that is woven through every aspect of her company, from her collections and campaigns to every design detail in her stores,” he said.
