The 15th cycle of America’s Next Top Model (ANTM) saw wasp-waisted Ann Ward win the ultimate career-launching prize package: a contract with one of the top international modelling management companies in the world; a $100,000 contract with CoverGirl Cosmetics; what is perhaps the most exciting, a fashion spread in Vogue Italia and an additional spread and cover of Beauty in Vogue.
Ann Ward Models Bright Orange Wigs For Vogue Italia
The 15th cycle of America’s Next Top Model (ANTM) saw wasp-waisted Ann Ward win the ultimate career-launching prize package: a contract with one of the top international modelling management companies in the world; a $100,000 contract with CoverGirl Cosmetics; and what is perhaps the most exciting, a fashion spread in Vogue Italia and an additional spread and cover of Beauty in Vogue.
Well, as promised, Ward features in a full fashion spread in the March issue of Vogue Italia. Talent Management have just checked out the shots, which were photographed by erotic femininity expert Ellen von Unwerth in her typically playful approach.
Styled by Sheila Single, the ultra-tall model works bright orange costume wigs and sultry eye makeup in various locations, including in the bath, the shower, a lift and on a bed.
“I am pleased that the fifteenth edition of America’s next top model was won by a person like Ann Ward,” writes Tyra Banks in Vogue Italia March 2011 (p. 506-513).
“When she was younger, she too felt that she was treated differently because of her looks. From her tales, I know that her early years at school in Texas were very difficult: children can be very cruel and they can hurt without realizing it. Ann was always the tallest of her class, at times even taller than her teachers, and the jokes and stares were order of the day,” she added.
Today, however, it is precisely this characteristic that makes 19-year-old Ward so special, and it’s clear from the shoot that the originally shy and awkward model is coming out of her skin.
