They say diamonds are a girl’s best friend – and the Talent Management girls fair no differently!

That’s why we were excited to check out what has just been crowned by the Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s most expensive bag; the ‘1001 Nights Diamond Purse’.

With a value of $3.8 million, the heart-shaped purse, from the globally renowned jewellery house Mouawad, is handcrafted from 18kt gold, incorporates 4,517 diamonds (105 yellow, 56 pink and 4,356 colourless), and has a swoon-worthy total weight of 381.92 carats!

Sure, we can’t afford it, and would be scared to take it anywhere, but, taking its inspiration from a tale of romance, intrigue and fantasy, this purse was always destined to become a legend in our office …and there’s no harm in looking, right?

Pascal Mouawad, co-guardian of the House of Mouawad, said: “‘The Mouawad 1001 Nights Diamond Purse’ is designed to mesmerize with its lavish attention to detail and elaborate workmanship incorporating thousands of diamonds.”

This purse is the second record-breaking creation from the House of Mouawad, following in the footsteps of ‘The Very Sexy Fantasy Bra’ valued at $11 million. It was  produced in collaboration with Victoria’s Secret in 2003 and certified by the Guinness World Records as the most expensive bra ever made.
