The gap-toothed smile is a look we’ve always loved here at Talent Management, and it seems the rest of the fashion industry is on the same wavelength.
Talent Management’s Favourite Gap-Toothed Smiles
The gap-toothed smile is a look we’ve always loved here at Talent Management, and it seems the rest of the fashion industry is on the same wavelength. In fact, the popularity of unconventional beauty, which has undoubtedly been spurred by the gap-toothed pout, seems to have grown immensely over the past couple of seasons.
More and more, fashion houses are using unconventional looking models to showcase their work both on the catwalk and in their ad campaigns. So Talent Management thought that as this major trend takes off, we’d take a look at our top 3 gap-toothed models who have helped ‘unusual beauty’ become fashionable…
Lara Stone
If you ask anyone here at Talent Management to name a top model with a gap in their smile, the answer will be Lara Stone. She is the world’s poster girl for gapped teeth and we love her for it. As well as winning British Fashion Awards’ Model of the Year 2010, W declared her the most-wanted face of the moment and Vogue Paris named her as one of the top 30 models of the 2000s. Her look even inspired Tyra Banks to have a contestant’s tooth gap widened on cycle 15 of America’s Next Top Model! Stone truly is an inspiration to all those unconventional beauties out there.
Lauren Hutton
Perhaps one of the first gap-toothed models to come onto the fashion scene, Talent Management praises a now 67-year-old Hutton for embracing her signature look back when it wasn’t so popular. In the beginning of her modelling career, American Hutton juggled with the dilemma of whether or not to disguise her gap. Thankfully, she kept her it and never looked back, which is something our models here lover her for.
Georgia Jagger
She may be best known for being Jerry Hall and Mick Jagger’s youngest daughter, but having only just had her 19th birthday, 5’7” gap-toothed Georgia has already made huge waves in her modelling career. Named 2009’s British Fashion Awards Model of the Year, the quirky beauty has worked her toothy grin for Chanel, Versace and Hudson jeans, and has also featured on the cover of British and Australian Vogue. Karl’s Lagerfeld says she is “the girl of today” and Talent Management couldn’t agree more.
