Kate Middleton & Prince William’s Romance Becomes Cartoon
British comic book columnist Rich Johnston has transformed the story of Kate Middleton and Prince William’s relationship into a three-part cartoon series called ‘Kate and William: A Very Public Love Story’.
Johnston wrote the biographical comic book over the Christmas holidays, and it has now been drawn by two artists Mike Collins, the current Doctor Who comic artist, and Gary Erskine, the Scottish artist of Dan Dare.
“I have to say, I didn’t expect to be writing this comic last year,” Johnston said. “But sometimes an idea and an execution come together so neatly that it would have been rude of myself not to at least suggest it to [graphic novel publisher] Markosia, at which point they all but bit my hand off.”
The book will be available in three editions, two standard size comic books telling the respective stories of Kate ‘A Very Private Princess’ and William ‘A Very Public Prince’ and a collected bound edition with extra material, presenting their story as an intelligent flip book.
We at Talent Management can’t wait to see the comic books, which will be published this Saturday on April 2nd, just in time for the Royal Wedding!
