A favourite in the Talent Management offices, Adele is living proof that dreams can come true. After a confident appearance at the 2011 BRIT awards, we look at Adele’s route to success and how others can follow in her footsteps.

Despite the absence of any 2011 nominations, this has been an outstanding year for singer Adele. Later performing an incredible moving rendition of ‘Someone Like You’ in a glittery black ensemble at this year’s BRIT awards, she strolled confidently along the red carpet before the awards began. “I love being here, it’s thrilling, honestly. I know that’s a big word for me but it is thrilling,” she said.

Her most recent album ‘21’ stormed its way to the top of the charts, peaking at number one. In addition, her single ‘Rolling in the Deep’ remains firmly in the top 5 more than a month post release. Both single and album have been highly acclaimed for portraying a much more mature range of work in comparison to her debut album, the aptly named ‘19’, and it looks as though her streak of success is likely to continue.

Having auditioned successfully for the Brit School, Adele is proof that getting a little extra confidence together and heading along to singing and acting auditions can quite literally turn your life around. “It had free rehearsal rooms and free equipment and I was listening to music all day, every day for years,” she said.

Due to open on the 4th September, Adele’s tour is headed for a wealth of popular British venues including London’s Royal Albert Hall and the Newcastle O2 Academy.
Performing Arts schools such as the Brit school, provide key opportunities for talented individuals looking for a singer’s agent. Many talent agencies will approach such establishments and present lucky students with life-changing offers, Adele of course being the definitive proof of this.
