Described as contemporary, modern and sensual, we think Polish model Małgosia Bela looks stunning as ever in Nina Ricci’s new S/S11 ad campaign.
Not only does our favourite green-eyed beauty look ultra feminine in a sheer, ethereal dress, but she also comes across as fierce and powerful with a piercing gaze; making a perfect combination for a brand known for its refined, romantic look.
“She looks contemporary, modern, sensual — all those things I see for the Ricci woman,” Peter Copping told WWD.
Aside from Bela making this season’s campaign exceptional, the ad is extra special as it marks the first under the helm of Peter Copping, who, having handed in his resignation at Louis Vuitton, took on the role at Nina Ricci following Oliver Theyskens’ departure.
Copping has since settled in and said that when coming up with the campaign’s concept he imagined Julia Restoin Roitfeld, Charlotte Casiraghi and young women who are “not sitting at home in a party dress. They’re out and about and wanting to be seen”.
Shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, you can except to see the campaign first appear in February’s Vogue Paris issue.
It will then be featured only in high-end publications in Germany, Italy, Japan, France and the UK, and the team here will most definitely be on the look out for it.
