Our plus size models have just been checking out a new online fashion magazine called SLiNK. Aimed at women who are size 14+, this inspirational mag has been dubbed a lifestyle and fashion bible, featuring everything from fashion shoots and top trends to food and travel ideas.

The mag’s team, who set up SLiNK having felt that size 14+ women were being overlooked by the industry, even aim to ensure that every item of clothing featured on a trend page runs from at least a size 14-22.

Editor, Rivkie Baum, who has previously worked as a stylist for plus size women, said: “I became aware that lots of plus size women didn’t even pay attention to trends as there was no media format that showed it to them in an obtainable yet aspirational format.

“Plus size is a continuous hot topic in the media, yet it still carries so many negative connotations. I wasn’t sure how the industry would feel about a plus size glossy, but so far, it has nearly all been incredibly positive.”

As great believers that fashion can be just as aspirational on a range of female shapes and sizes, as opposed to just the ‘standard’ sized mainstream model, we fully support this new publication.
